Since 2000, Rock N Roll Purgatory has been a quarterly printed music fanzine and website devoted to Rockabilly, Punk Rock, Garage, Surf, Honky Tonk, Psychobilly and related genres. We are interested in everything from Hardcore Punk and Lo-Fi Trash to Angular Art-Damaged Skronk and Broken Blues. Rock N Roll Purgatory is also an independent record label with 20 releases. The core of Rock N Roll Purgatory is Ben Lybarger, who edits, publishes, lays out, distributes, and writes the bulk of the magazine. Assisting him with reviews and interviews is his wife Lisa Marie, Bob Ignizio who handles film-related articles and reviews, and Bram Riddlebarger who will be contributing a lot in future issues. Any questions regarding the magazine, label, or website should be directed the Ben at: rocknrollpurgatory@yahoo.com |

A little about Bram Riddlebarger:
Bram Riddlebarger writes, plays music, and lives in Athens, Ohio. He has a
degree in creative writing from Ohio University, and has put out several
collections of his work. Recording as a one-man band (Bram Riddlebarger &
His Lonesome Band), he simultaneously plays a kick drum suitcase, hi-hat,
and electric guitar. Bram also drummed for the Dragline Bros. (ex-Redtails)
for many years. All of his recordings, releases, and books to date are
released on his lo-fi label Redtail Records/Productions. Bram is probably
best known for forming and fronting the juke joint hillbilly band, the Wailin'
Elroys (Rhythm Bomb Records), where he wrote songs, sang, and played
flat top guitar. |
